The name Enrique Grau (1920) is already inseparable from the history of Colombian art. From his first works, produced in the forties of the last century, to today, Grau has moved with vital impulse and great enthusiasm through all the paths of the plastic arts: drawing, painting, engraving, screen printing, lithography, sculpture, scenography, and costume design for theater, cinema, murals. In this journey, it has not even been lacking that the artist, moving away from his strong figurative vocation, also ventured into geometric and cubist styles. His style, so personal and classical, proved unique in Colombian art, in particular, and Latin American art, in general. This book pays tribute to an extraordinary artist who, at 83 years of age, remains as alert as 63 years ago, when Colombia acclaimed him for the first time.
