Here we see the dizzying growth, both formal and informal, that occurs between a provincial city, barely approaching 300 thousand souls, and the stunning metropolis of the late century, which is already nearing 7 million inhabitants.The evolution that this book records would be almost impossible to appreciate in any other way. But there is also another, more individual and intimate reading of these images, warmer, that involves us all.
