{"product_id":"tejiendo-calle-weaving-streets","title":"TEJIENDO CALLE, WEAVING STREETS","description":"The work of Ruby Rumié includes painting, sculpture, photography, videos, and installations inspired by her hometown, Cartagena with a clear focus on social and territorial heritage. It is a tribute book to the women who day by day, with their calls and products, have been walking —for more than 40 years— through the walled city, distributing themselves along routes throughout the entire urban perimeter. The book begins with individual portraits of each of the 50 women, “to see them as independent persons.” The second chapter includes a foot-washing ceremony that their granddaughters perform for these women over 70 years old. The third highlights the amulets that protect the vendors on their routes. The author says: “each woman has these protective objects that come from our culture.” The fourth is about the routes they took to sell their products. Tejiendo calles has won several awards, the latest being the Gold in book design at the Indigo Design Award 2020. It is available in Spanish and English, with an introduction by Claudia Mosquera, a researcher on racial issues at the National University of Colombia. Germán Ferro and Kathleen Sutcliffe.","brand":"Weaving the Planet | Villegas Editores | Alliance","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51854615773397,"sku":"9789588818511","price":416000.0,"currency_code":"COP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0708\/6384\/7637\/files\/Tejiendo_Calle.jpg?v=1754892056","url":"https:\/\/weavingtheplanet.com\/en\/products\/tejiendo-calle-weaving-streets","provider":"Weaving The Planet","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
